America Remains Engaged.
Some of my favorite moments from Dubya's inauguration, I just don’t understand how anyone can believe the crap he’s trying to feed us! How can he preach “expansion of freedom” when our own personal freedoms are being removed daily? This is so fucking absurd.
The best hope for peace in our world is the expansion of freedom in all the world.
America's vital interests and our deepest beliefs are now one. From the day of our founding, we have proclaimed that every man and woman on this earth has rights and dignity and matchless value, because they bear the image of the maker of heaven and Earth.
This one is good too…
America will not impose our own style of government on the unwilling. Our goal, instead, is to help others find their own voice, attain their own freedom and make their own way.
But wait a second? Bush had just said this:
So it is the policy of the United States to seek and support the growth of democratic movements and institutions in every nation and culture with the ultimate goal of ending tyranny in our world.
How can he contradict himself within the same speech? Most despots and tyrants don’t want to give up power (hence Bush’s re-election) but apparently we’re going to seek change anyway.
Now I’m not saying I’m against democracy and freedom, I’m all for it, I’m a big supporter of globalization and laissez-faire capitalism. Bush’s speech seems like he’s setting the groundwork to start a few more wars though, and it scares me.
I’m also sick of the news media sucking Rumsfeld and Rice’s ankles, liberal bias my ass.

You see my friend....in America it's more important to be against homosexuality than it is to rifle and pilage another's country at the expense of American lives.
